Impressive African zoomorphic African mask representing the (Kan) in Bwa / Bobo art traditional African mask made of wood African mask in the shape of a stylised (Kan) head, engraved to the surface with deep lines. Large horns extending up, large circular eyes to the front with the triangular projecting mouth. Engraved areas filled with a buff pigment. The Bwa and Bobo people have maintained their belief in animistic practices and it is the masks that represent the spirits of the bush and take on the form of pig, hornbill, hyena, and buffalo, but with the being one of the most popular.
