Ex-collection traditional African art French. Topped with an antelope figure, this African I mask features three-part hair associated with wealth. The refinement of this type of mask also currently appearing during festivities reveals the talent of the sculptors of African tribal art in Côte d'Ivoire. The Yaouré are a sub-group of the Akan people present in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana. Geographically close to the Baoulé and the Gouros, we can feel in yogurt art the influence of these ethnic groups through attention to detail and aesthetics. The masks of African art Yaouré , or Yauré , of which the Baoulé have similar models, are divided into two groups that are difficult to differentiate, the I , sometimes with the addition of colored pigments, and lo , generally with a dark patina, which intervene during funeral ceremonies or any otherrite in order to win the favors of the "Yu" spirits. The masked dancers Yoouré, Yahouré, were not to be seen by women, it was also forbidden to photograph
