    Description

    Hand carved mask.  17" tall.  This is heavy, hard wood.
    There is some damage around the center of the mask around the beads.  Part of it appears to be a black clay or putty like substance pressed on.  This area is somewhat loose with some part fallen off, please see pics.
    Acquired in a collection with other African masks.  One uses old coins from Ghana as decoration, so I believe this is also from Ghana.
    Likely vintage.
