    African Hand-Carved Wooden Tribal Mask, 18” Tall, Gabon West Africa Early 1980’s
    This handsome and imposing wooden totem tribal mask was purchased in Gabon West Africa in the early 1980’s. The mask’s hand-carved face is painted with a black background that has elaborate decorations in red and teal on the lips, cheeks, nose, eyes, and forehead - all accented with gold paint. The mask is 18” tall and 7” at its widest portion.
    The mask is in very good condition for its age. A piece of the lower right of the back of the mask has worn away, but the front of the piece remains intact and displays with its full decorative appeal. Please examine all the photos for a more detailed description of the piece and its condition.
