A great stylized mask with elongated nose mask and high mask forehead. This mask was collected before the German Expressionists started their search for new forms in Ethnographic Collections in Germany. Die Brücke were the first to use these institutes as a source of inspiration. Karl Schmidt-Rottluff started using the clear concave shapes of these masks, after having seen the Einsteins Negro Plastik in 1915.
