The best-known masks of the Yaure, a small ethnic masks group inhabiting the central region of Ivory Coast, represent human masks faces supplemented by animal attributes. Yaure masks inspired their neighbors to develop a mask type similar masks design; they evince stylistic influences of the Guro, with whom the Yaure are related. In the present example, the slightly open mouth with rows of teeth and the narrow nose recall the gu masks of the neighboring Guro.
