ANTIQUE / PRIMITIVE HANDMADE AFRICAN KRU GREBO TRIBAL WAR MASK from the IVORY COAST (LIBERIA) AFRICA. As a designer, this UNUSUAL MASK caught my attention. It measures about 27 1/2" high by 9 1/2" wide and 6 1/2" in depth. Little is known about the KRU GREBO TRIBE. This MASK / SHIELD was designed to protect the IDENTITY of the WEARER from HUMAN GAZE. The MULTIPLE EYES help the wearer see all the SPIRITUAL FORCES around them. The WOOD PATINA is great with ORIGINAL PAINT. I love the REPAIR on the LOWER LEFT SIDE and the STYLIZED NOSE and LIPS. This was part of a PRIVATE ESTATE COLLECTION of an ARTIST who traveled to AFRICA and purchased UNIQUE OBJECTS. Shipping, packing and tracking is a flat rate of .95 in the United States.
