Antique African Tribal Kuba Ngeende Tall Mask - Carving Art Artifact.
Very well made tall antique mask. The mask has an excellent old patina. A site has been added to the back for hanging. There are small chips in the wood particularly around the eyes. There is a hole in the nose. There are also holes along the top edge of the mask. I assume there was decorative elements inserted into the holes that are no longer there. This is a great looking ready to display mask. It’s an authentic antique tribal example. It was formerly owned by a restoration expert at a major Manhattan museum. He then went on to own an antique and antiquities gallery in Manhattan. This piece was part of his large African tribal collection. The make displays very well and is 19” long. Ships ASAP! Thanks
