ANTIQUE MEISSEN DEMITASSE FLOWER ENCRUSTED CUP AND SAUCER

Description

A lovely late 19th Century hand painted Meissen demitasse cup and saucer decorated with applied colorful flowers, foliage and branch style handle with a blue bow. Both pieces are in overall good condition with no structural chips or cracks. There is the usual chipping to some of the applied flowers and foliage. The set is first quality and marked with the under glaze blue Meissen crossed swords of the period.
Cup size approx. 2 3/8" in diameter and 1 3/4" in height, saucer diameter approx. 4 1/4"'.
