This interesting mask will make a wonderful addition to anyone's collection of African, West African, or Ethnographic art. We believe this mask is from the Cote d'Ivoire, possibly Baule, Guro or Yaure. It has very nice detailing in the hair with areas white, red and black paint on the face. It is an older mask with a nice age patina and very little paint loss. This is a smaller passport mask,
about 11" high,
showing no sign of active or past insect infestation.
Purchased at from a traveling dealer, it is of unknown provenance. We make no claims to its age, authenticity or previous use. Please examine the photos closely to determine the validity of this item's condition and what was previously stated.
