Description
As you can see in the scans, this is a signed First Day of Issue stamp Commemorating the Baseball Centennial, the 100th anniversary of Baseball on June 12, 1939. This is a perfect vintage PRE-STROKE blue ball point autograph of New York Giants Hall of Fame Pitcher, CARL HUBBELL. Elected to Cooperstown in 1947, he was one of the best pitchers from 1928-1942. He worked as a Scout for the Giants as well. This is a very nice signed 1st day of issue envelope with an original 3 cent baseball stamp. Carl played in the original 1933 All Star game, and famously struck out Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Simmons, and Cronin in the 1934 mid-year classic! He passed away in 1988. I have owned over 200 autographs of King Carl and obtained this in the mid 1980's. Guaranteed authentic and will easily pass a JSA or PSA review or I will double your money back! I am starting this out ready to sell.Email any questions. Shipping will be .00 with delivery confirmation. Thanks
