Duane "Duke" Maas (1929 - 1976)
played in the majors for seven seasons. He pitched for the Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Athletics, and New York Yankees. He was a member of the 1958 World Champion Yankees. He was also on the roster of the 1961 Yankees. Maas pitched in one game for the Yankees in 1961 and is on the official roster for that championship team.
If you are trying to collect autographs of all members of the 1961 Yankees, no collection is complete without the addition of Duke Maas.
Since he passed away in 1976, his signature is extremely tough to find. Based on his obscurity and untimely death, he signed a whole lot less during his lifetime than Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, and Elston Howard.
