This interesting mask will make a wonderful addition to anyone's collection of African, West African, or Ethnographic art. We believe this mask is from the Cameroon, possibly Ibibio. It is nicely carved and has areas white, red and black paint. It is an older mask with a nice age patina and very little paint loss. It shows no sign of active insect infestation.
Purchased at an estate auction, it is of unknown provenance. We make no claims to its age, authenticity or previous use. Please examine the photos closely to determine the validity of this item's condition and what was previously stated.
