Kuba-Kete Mask - Kuba Tribe - Democratic Republic of the Congo

Description

This is a  mask from the Kuba tribe of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Condition is used. It is carved of wood with fiber and cowrie shells attached. There is a loose bundle of feathers on the top of the head. Overall dimensions are approximately 11" x8" x 9" excluding the feathers. Nicely carved with holes surrounding the circular, protruding eyes. Stand is not included. I am reducing my collection of African masks and will have additional listings over the coming weeks.
