    Description

    LOZI SUNGOD Petite Wooden Mask Crafted In South Africa
    This is a wood carving representing the Lozi Sun God and he is looking for a new home.  This petite decorative mask measures 8" in height and 4.5" inches in width not including the frizzy hair.  It is also very light.  He is carved of a single piece of wood.  Around the face is a darker brown paint and the rest of the wood if left natural.  The accents around the piece appear to have been burnt in.  The frizzy brush style hair seems to be made of some kind of organic material.  There is a small piece of twine fastened to the back so it may hang on the wall.  This mask was hand crafted in South Africa.  The Sun God of the Lozi people is a kind of god of the harvest.
    This item is preowned.  It is in fine condition.  None of the hair is missing or falling out.  There materials used to construct the mask give it a natural and rustic appeal.  A perfect small accent piece for an African decor.  Thanks!
