    Description

Meissen Bowl Plate Charger Germany Gold Porcelain 10.5 in
This listing is for an antique Meissen Plate / Bowl
    with high relief hand gilding.
    Scroll work encircles the edges,
a 5 point stylized star at the center, surrounded
by what look like to me, a ring of stylized Arabian Nights dancers.
The overall design has a middle east influence.
    As for the back stamp:
Many thanks to another Ebayer who messaged
me explaining this is an actual firing problem that occurred in
the process of finishing the coffee pot.  She referred me to
    page 10 in
    The Book of Meissen,
    2nd edition.  And sure
enough, there's a similar picture of this issue.
    No slashes through the mark.
I have the book, but so mesmerized by all the plates,
I never saw that particular page.
The numbers embossed on the base:
    H2746.
In blue, the number 29 with a dot beneath it.
    Condition:
The bowl is in outstanding condition
with absolutely no gold wear.  No issues to the finish, no repairs
    chips or cracks.
    Approximate measurements:
    10-5/8ths inches diameter
    2 inches high
And weighs approximately 2 pounds 9.4 ounces
    without packing materials.
    Thanks for stopping by.
    Please review the photos,
as they are considered to be part of the description. Thank you.
Please remember to scroll down to the end of the listing,
as there are times I receive questions and they will be answered there.
Or there may be a bid on the item,
so I have added an addendum to the description for
something that I may have forgotten.
Also, keep in mind that I'm not selling new items.
They usually are antique or vintage,
can be a hundred or more years old and have been gently used.
Edge wear on gold is to be considered as normal and the usual.
Also, please remember that old glass
    and porcelain were not manufactured
with the sophisticated technology that we have today,
therefore there may be glaze pops,
black pin dots, and minor factory flaws.
    Excellent Condition, Mint Condition,
or any descriptive term used when describing
the physical attributes of glass and porcelain
    are very, very subjective.
What I may consider very good condition,
    someone else may disagree.
Keeping this in mind, I will make every
effort to objectively describe the item at hand.
Approximate sizes and weights are always included in the description.
Please examine the photos carefully; as they are to be considered
part of the description.  Read the description and ask all questions before purchasing.
Please don't hesitate to contact me for additional information or photograph

Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item or shipping charges.
These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
