Meissen Marcolini Hand Painted Sheep Landscape & Gold Tea Cup & Saucer 1774-1817
Nice 18th century porcelain tea cup and saucer. Decorated with hand painted brown and white sheep, trees, and foliage. With gold gilding along the edge.
Marked on the bottom with the blue crossed swords mark with a star underneath, used by
royal
Meissen between 1774 and 1817.
Has some wear to the gilding and a repair to a chip on the rim of the cup, but otherwise good condition with no additional chips or cracks.
The cup measures approximately 3 3/4 inches wide including the handle x 1 7/8 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 1/4 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
