Nikon EL-NIKKOR 50mm f2.8N Enlarging Lens, Excellent Condition

This is the preferred
“N” model
of the highly regarded
Nikon EL-NIKKOR 50mm f2.8 enlarger lens
.
With a newer optical design, this
“N” version
was a significant improvement over the older scallop barreled model, giving better resolution at the edges of the image and less reduction in light intensity.
With the adoption of multi-coating, it also produced clearer, higher contrast, and punchier images than its already optically superb predecessor.
Even today, this EL-NIKKOR 50mm f2.8N lens is one of the favorite choices of
extreme macro
photographers when shooting at
up to 2.5 X
magnification.
This particular lens has been very well cared for and, thus, is in pristine condition.
Cosmetically, it shows very minimal signs of use with barely any marks on the lens housing, barrel, aperture ring, or edges.
Optics are superb with clear, clean glass, and no scratches, fungus, haze, or significant internal dust.
Aperture blades are clean, and its ring is silky smooth on turning.

The lens comes with its mounting ring for use on an enlarger.
