This is a nice set of two antique Meissen porcelain figural statues (see photos). The items are made of porcelain and depict of couple a man and a woman (see photos). The male statue has a lamb or sheep and he is sending a love letter by carrier pigeon. The female statue is holding a garland of flowers and standing next to an urn on a pedestal. The items are antique and thy are beautiful examples of German Meissen fine porcelain. The items are marked on the underside of the base with crossed swords Meissen marks and other inscribed and impressed marks (see photos). These statues are from Germany and the y are German in origin (see photos and decide the age, the origin and the maker). The male statue measures in total about 7.5 inches high and it is about 2.75 inches wide across the base. The female statue measures about 6.75 inches high and it is about 2.75 inches wide at the base. These items are sold in as found as is estate condition. The male statue has a crack in the interior edge of the base (does not show from the outside and it does not affect the figures stability) with some minor chips and wear. The female statue is holding a garland of flowers with small porcelain petals. The female statue has some chips and losses to the porcelain flower and the back side leaf petal of the flower on the urn with some wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). The figures are in remarkably good condition for their age and fragile nature. This is a nice set of two different antique Meissen statues to add to your collection.
