Up for sale is the remarkable Rodenstock Rodagon 360mm G Ultimate Large Format Lens.
After purchasing a dozen lenses for my 8x10 enlarger, it's time to unload the lenses which will be put aside rather than used. My loss will be your gain, as the cliche goes. My hope was that this lens may be the one, but the enlarger was unable to take the lens. Thus it's up for sale, and a wonderful example of this ultra-rare large format lens. It is in remarkable condition, as can be seen in the images. There are the slightest of cleaning marks on the front element, which will not affect the final image. I was unable to photograph it, but wanted to put it out there.
This lens of course can also be outfitted with a shutter and used on large format cameras, but its true claim to fame is its unsurpassed enlarging capacities for 8x10 negatives. There is just no other lens better than this one, period. It comes with the original front cap and a newly purchased rear cap for safety. This is a wonderful example of this rare lens, as can be seen by the sheen on the barrel, as well as the shine on the glass. My hope is that it finds a good home and is put to good use!
