RODENSTOCK RODAGON 135mm F 5.6 ENLARGER LENS FOR PAWO ENLARGER
This enlarger lens is a Rodenstock Rodagon 80mm F 5.6 and was originally used in a Swiss made Pawo enlarger that was water cooled! The drum below the lens contains an aperture carousel ring that rotates various size apertures into place via an electric motor. We're not entirely sure what voltage is required to operate the aperture rotating motor, but we'd guess it's in the 12 - 18 volt range. This assembly is easy to take apart, so even if you don't want to power to motor, you can easily turn the aperture carousel manually. The carousel currently contains stopped-down colored filters (see 2nd to last picture). Overall, the lens is in very good condition. The optics are clear, we see no chips, cracks, fungus, fogging or hazing on the surfaces or between the elements. This lens was originally used in color separation work. We even have the original box (though we had to replace the original foam). As you can see from the photos, the lens itself detaches from the assembly so you might be able to adapt it for your enlarger or even use it with your large format camera. If using as an enlarger lens, we're told this is best for 2-1/4" to 4" x 5" negatives. The above images are actual, original photos of the item in this listing.
