strives to deliver collectible and authentic African masks from regions across the African continent. With access to antiquity auctions and museum curators across Western and Southern Africa, we do our ultimate best to secure only genuine tribal masks and provide information that is well researched by our curators in determining origin, culture, and age. We examine our pieces thoroughly and do our best to photograph each section of a mask so a buyer/collector can have a full understanding of what they’re purchasing without any surprises. ABOUT TRIBE/MASK
Kifwebe masks belong to the accoutrements of a society of the same name that to this day enjoys extreme respect among the eastern Songye. The masks are usually designed as a single entity or will sometimes be adorned with raffia surrounding the face. The masks are worn by men who protect their ruler also in the face of war.
IMPERFECTIONS
Please note these are traditional/old masks. Imperfections are to be expected such as dings and minor cracks. We do our best to showcase the mask using as many photos as possible. Mask is in excellent condition
HOW TO DISPLAY MASK
Most African masks require the use of a "Metal V Display Stand". These are great for holding African masks if your intention is to display this on a table top, window bay etc. These are also sold on eBay and would be best to contact a supplier for more information and assistance.
SHIPPING AND RETURNS
We require 3-5 days to process and package each order carefully. All shipping will be made via UPS or FedEx dependent on cost. Our return policy is strictly 14 days from the time you receive your order and confirmed as delivered. All returns are paid by the customer regardless of reason/cause. All returns must be in their original shipped condition.
