Verdana Coconut Fiber Potting Mix is 100% natural and is a by-product of coconut coir manufacturing process. Compressed to a brick of approximately 30cm x 30 cm x 12.5cm size, it expands to approx. 17-18 gallons of soft potting mix on addition of water.
Whether you were blessed with a green thumb or not, this mix makes gardening fun again! Our soilless growing medium has low EC (Electrical Conductivity meaning salt content) and is of optimum pH balance to make it ideal as a soil additive to grow premium, healthy plants. It's a great alternative to peat moss, and after adding water, it expands to 17-18 gallons. That's the equivalent of 3 cubic feet of peat moss which weighs nearly 30 pounds. Our product weighs only 10 pounds, saving your time and your back!

Byproduct of Coconut Coir Making Process
The Coconut fruit has a fibrous structure between the outer skin and the kernel. As these fibers are separated for coir making, the dust (or lint) that falls off is collected, washed to remove salts, dried to remove moisture, filtered to remove debris and foreign objects and compressed into blocks. Thus, the coconut fiber block is a completely natural product.
Great Alternative to Peat Moss
Peat Moss is mined by scraping off the top layer of the living sphagnum moss. This process hurts the environment ny destroying the habitats for many living organisms. The coco peat compressed block is a readily renewable medium and does not hurt any organism.
Improves Soil Structure
Adding Coco fiber to soil helps improve aeration, water retention and drainage. It also helps maintain soil pH.

Instructions
Place the Verdana Coconut Fiber Potting Mix block in a container with adequate expansion space and add water gradually. Let the block absorb water gradually and avoid run-off. The block will expand and will become soft, light and spongy. It can then be easily broken down to potting mix consistency.
IMPORTANT: Coconut Fiber Peat is not a significant source of nutrients. Remember to fertilize your plants regularly.
