VINTAGE AFRICAN TRIBAL MASK W/ BIRD ON STAND- GURO TRIBE IVORY COAST
A vintage carved wood African tribal mask from the Guro tribe of the Ivory Coast. Nicely carved and painted. The mask measures approximately 18 5/8" long by 5 1/4" across by 4 1/8" deep. The stand has a painted wood base and metal arms. The base is approximately 5 1/2" square. The overall height of the mask on the stand is 20 1/4" high. The stand has some nicks and some paint loss on the arms. The mask has an area of wood loss on the side. Nicks, scratches, and surface dirt commensurate with age. A very nice sculptural form.
