    Description

    This is an African mask that has a heavily eroded surface, both front and back, that gives it a very sad creepy continence.  I do not know the culture which produced it.  Measures 9 3/16" x 5 13/16".  The rim is pierced for the attachment to a headdress to cover the wearer.  I do not know its age but it is certainly not new.
