Wood Mask  horned with wild board fangs and animal teeth
This wonderful  20th century art piece  which I believe  it was used by  Bassa
people used in dance or ceremony  around Liberia or Sierra Leone . It appeal to be
west Africa tribal  shape  used probably  by a tribal people ( I am not an expert
please inspect pictures )
It is hand carved wood  in very unique
and skilled
etched  shape,  well ornate with
four wild Board  fangs as headdress
and it
has
a large expressive mouth with
animal teeth ( probably wild board teeth )
and opened eyes and it has around  mask holes around mask probably to
holds ornaments like animal hair or plants fibers .
Its a wonderful
African
hand carving display piece of art.
It's a beautiful and rare Piece of art,  is very rich antique patina  and elegant
appearance , great hanging  focus
point for  your wall

Measure   12.3/4   inch high  with forehead decoration by 10'' at
widest area
x  9  inches Deep with tusks    . weight   3.12  LBS
biggest wild board fags is 4.3/8'' long x 1.1/8 inches wide.
This beautiful piece of art seem to be very old ( sorry not sure about
age )   it looks in
very good  conditions but it has on loose tusk which
still well attached
and  antique dins
scratches and small crack on back of mask
other wise it look fantastic mask with a touch of a unique and
charming
