Wood Carved Tribal Mask Ivory Coast Africa BAOULE Vintage ~14" Tall
Estate Sale Find. I recently acquired a collection of international masks and carvings from a world traveler. I was told these were purchased during the 1970's and 1980's, some a bit later. Beyond that, I really don't know much else, only that these were more than likely made for tourists. Make sure to check my other listings, I will gladly combine shipping.
This listing is for a wooden Mask from Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire), Africa. Hand carved. A few small nicks. I am quite certain the string and nails were added later. No markings or signature, but a sticker with "Made in Ivory Coast. Weight is a little over 1 pound. Approx. 13 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 2 1/2".
